General | 01.12.2021

Burley Browne have successfully completed the sale of a three-storey Grade II Listed Georgian style office building to an owner occupier within Lichfield city centre. Brooke House being over 200 years old is embedded into the history of Lichfield and was first given Listed status in 1952.  The property occupies a prominent position to the north-eastern side of Dam Street within Lichfield city centre.  Dam Street being the pedestrian thoroughfare linking the main market square to the cathedral and offers a picturesque spot situated almost opposite Minster Pool.  The property was sold on behalf of a private client close to the asking price with multiple viewings generating competing interest at the time of marketing.

Steve Hannaford a Surveyor at Burley Browne commented “Freehold opportunities remain in high demand and the sale of this property together with others currently being marketed are another example of the improving office market conditions.  It is clear that owner occupiers are investing in the office and despite some of the uncertainty in relation to office premises we are continuing to see signs of improving confidence within the office sector.
