Burley Browne are delighted to announce the arrival of GDK German Doner Kebab to Sutton's Coldfield town centre’s restaurant and leisure quarter with the completion of the letting of the former Cynergy Bank premises.
GDK, which was conceived in Berlin in 1989 and with over 100 restaurants across the UK provide classic, authentic healthy kebabs combining lean meats, handmade breads and signature sauces. GDK are due to open their doors towards the end of May / June following a substantial fit out.
David Hemming Director of Burley Browne who brokered the deal on behalf of landlord clients commented "I'm absolutely delighted to have secured the letting to GDK in the heart of Sutton’s restaurant and leisure pitch and follows the letting to Rhodehouse, the exciting local music venue situated above the premises. Despite the challenges that the town centre has faced, Sutton Coldfield was a top priority for GDK who will invest substantially in this property. This not only reflects their commitment to the town now but demonstrates their long term confidence for the future of Sutton Coldfield which will be impregnated through the proposed masterplan."
GDK are not alone in considering Sutton Coldfield as a potential restaurant destination. David added, “we are really encouraged by the interest that we continue to receive from a wide variety of local, regional and national retail and restaurant operators, and are looking forward to further announcements over the coming months. GDK will bring something completely different to the food and leisure scene within the town and will complement the day/night time offer that is already provided." London retail agents McKinnon Nelson represented GDK.
